Different Card, Different Day #41 June 10 2017, 0 Comments

Hello with some summery butterflies! The black and white with a subtle colored border and two amazingly beautiful butterflies is stunning. A white ribbon and black sparkly glittered sticker run from top to bottom.

Adding dimension to cards is an added bonus. I found all of the supplies I needed to make this card in my June's monthly card making kit club at Maker's Mart.

Different Card, Different Day #40 June 09 2017, 0 Comments

A very pretty thank you card that is sent with love was created using Maker's Mart June monthly kit papers and embellishments. I layered complimentary papers together and added white embossed dotted pieces to the upper and lower sections, cut on a diagonal angle.  The green dots were glued on randomly and happen to go with the other dots perfectly.

Spread your wings. Two butterflies are doing just that as they fly around the front of this upbeat summery card. The papers are colorful, some with deep hues. They contrast with the soft pink colors but go so well together. An elegant Dazzles metallic gold strip runs up the left side of the card.

To get the flowers to look this way on the stained glass background I used Glossy Accents. It is 3-dimensional glue that holds its place as it's drying.

Different Card, Different Day #38 June 07 2017, 0 Comments

This watercolored whale is happy to wish someone a Happy Birthday. The background papers were chosen because they reminded me of water splashing...like what a whale does in the water. hahaha.

The cupcake has pink flower-like feeling flowers because of a product I glued to the image called Flower Soft.

The edging around the card, whale and "Happy Birthday" was done using alcohol inks and gives them a dimensional look. The candle was made from a small scrap micro fine glitter paper by Krazy Kreations and colored using Spectrum Noir alcohol ink markers. The outline sticker image of the candle is also their design. I liked the idea of taking a flower pot image and turning it into a cupcake.

Let the wind carry you. Great advice...for so many occasions.  The colors are deep in this very uplifting card. The birds and butterflies all have yellow hues which contrasts with the deep purple ribbon that runs across the upper middle section. It's a sheer ribbon so you can still see the images in the background through it. Papers and embellishments all came from my monthly card making kit club at Maker's Mart.

"Lovely you" pops off the page in metallic gold and a purple felt flower pops even higher.

This card is meant to send someone a warm wish. The papers, beautiful birds and flower embellishments are from Maker's Mart. In each corner a silver Dazzle was placed to frame the card. I purchase these from Paperwishes.com and continue to find card making supplies there on a regular basis.

Forever friends is a great card with a happy tone. I loved drawing this lady figure so much that I made three sketches total of her. This card has one of them. Maybe if you follow me enough you will see the three show up in future blogs.

The papers and some embellishments came from Makers Mart card kit that I am a monthly member of. They inspired me to cut the paper on a diagonal angle. I added a couple of hinge Dazzles and a summer series mock postage stamp with beach chair.

Go green when saying you love someone. (Like that, huh?)  I was cutting some dies with my Spellbinders machine and when I put these flowers and leaves together with brads, I saw the design of this card in my head immediately. I took one of the flowers negative cut left on the paper and used it as a stencil with my alcohol inks as a background.

Saying hello with a colorful butterfly is my idea of saying it with beauty. I used Spectrum Noir alcohol ink markers for all those pretty, bold colors. After cutting one of the wings outline with an exacto blade knife, I placed a foam adhesive dot underneath it to make it pop off the page. The hello sticker is from Krazy Kreations.

Love your life. The birds aren't in the cage. They are free, perching on their branches...loving their lives. The pink paper in the background has watercolor brushed strokes of various shades running across horizontally. The birdcage has metallic pink dots in the gold scrollwork and some of the leaves plus rose are backed in colored paper making an overall cheerful looking card.

The banner and rose are popped off the page with foam adhesive dots. This gives the card a dimensional look.
