Different Card, Different Day 12/29/17 December 29 2017, 0 Comments
Today I decided to show a set of similar cards that I made from the same pack of Christmas paper. There were so many shiny red metallic designs that I didn't know what to do with them all at first. Then I received some papers from one of my monthly card making club kits and had the idea to create this set of Christmas cards.
Inside each, I stamped a couple of houses and the sentiment "Wishing you a beautiful season and a New Year of peace and happiness". The moon, stars, chimney smoke and trees are also part of my StampinUp! stamp set. The rest of the ground scene I drew by hand.
Mounds of snow look like they are shoveled next to the walkways and you might spot some variances here and there. Different papers were used depending on how they matched the front side of the card.
This one happens to be wrapped like a present with red sheer ribbon. The tree is also dimensional with Glossy Accents on each of the white dots and lines above.
The inside of this one has red paper bordering the stamped image. The walkways and snow scene are still similar to each other but because they are hand drawn, they are all unique.
The corner accents are what makes this card different. The metallic gold is washi tape doubled up and wrapped around the paper's backside. The black corners are outline stickers by Krazy Kreations.
Would you even know that what I drew on didn't come as part of the stamp?
Since I had a gold star that I had die cut from another project, I decided to top the tree off with it. I like the look of the slender tree.
There seem to be a variety of ornaments in this collection. This card also has the black vinyl outline corner stickers filled in with green paper. It was chosen to match the green in the background paper.
A close up will show you that there is a white cover strip to the right and in front of the house on the right. What that is...is correction tape. When I stamped some of these cards, the black ink stamped onto parts that I didn't want it to be on. So, I used correction tape. The photos are picking up on the tape but in real life, I think it's much harder to tell that it's even there.
These corners are red and match the berries on the background paper. Very seasonal colors.
Since there are many cards for this blog today and most insides are similar, I'll shrink the pics up so you can scroll down through them quicker.
The golden washi tape is crossed like ribbons on a package.
The white dove card has golden washi tape randomly placed in a diagonal way.
I hate to keep showing you the insides of these cards because they are all so similar. However, since they are slated to go up for sale in the online gift shop, I feel obligated to show all of each card.
And lastly, a shiny red and white ornament card.
Wow! That was a lot of cards. Glad you stuck with me all the way through.
