Different Card, Different Day #4 May 04 2017, 0 Comments
"Just Breathe" is a great saying and reminds us all to slow it down sometimes. My featured card for "Different Card, Different Day #4" has a Spring look about it with flowers and a pastel green butterfly that I die-cut with my Spellbinders machine. There are several different papers that form the many layers to this card. Layers add thickness and weight. Remember that when mailing them. Plus I like to use foam dots to pop embellishments off the page and often have to carefully place them in their envelopes.
The second photo has better lighting and I'm not sure if you noticed it or not but I've since added those three sage green round button embellishments to the bottom right corner. Sometimes I'm too quick to take a pic and slight changes can be seen as I create the card. I always joke and say the card isn't done until I have signed the back of it. (Which typically is the case).
A quick little blurb about this card: When I made it, I actually thought to myself "just breathe". Because I needed it. I had just lost someone I had known my whole life, who I thought was a very cool human being and was sadly mourning him. Making this card took my mind off of things as I got lost in my own art world. I thought of his family shortly after I finished it and text it to his daughter. My hope was to send her something beautiful.
