Different Card, Different Day 2/19/18 February 19 2018, 0 Comments

I wish you love. This is a card made for my 96 year old Gram Lucy. She hasn't been feeling the best lately and I wanted to send her some love.

The similarities between yesterdays blogged card and todays are many. The two ladies on the receiving side of these are sisters. 96 and 95 years old. Wow! right!?!

Different Card, Different Day 2/4/18 February 04 2018, 0 Comments

When you want to say "Thank you" to someone, maybe saying it with this watercolored card makes it more special. I hope it did anyways to the friend of mine that I made this for. He needed a thank you card and wanted it to specifically say his personal message on the inside.

I carefully stamped the letters in StazOn ink and inked the edges in brown distress inks before matting on similar colored papers to the front of the card. What a great way to say "Thank you".

Different Card, Different Day 1/29/18 January 29 2018, 0 Comments

Soar. Afterall, that's what butterflies do. This beautiful card sends "Best Wishes" and is metallic with shine.

The butterfly's body is a key and has a heart in it's center.  The wings are lifted off the card front as though it was flying away.

A matching little butterfly pops up off the page with an adhesive foam dot.

The inside also has butterflies soaring on matching plum and green paper. The green paper reminds me of the coloring of peacock feathers.

Here's a picture of it in front of my window, showing it in natural sunlight.

Different Card, Different Day 1/24/18 January 24 2018, 0 Comments

Hello with a special message of "Thinking Of You" inside. This bright and cheerful card is decorated with the pinkest of holidays in mind, which is right around the corner. The butterfly on scrolled writing has a metallic heart on it's key shaped body.

The metallic copper colored wording matches the "Hello" on the front side of this card. Matching pink and taupe papers and dark red ribbon are also added.

Different Card, Different Day 1/18/18 January 18 2018, 0 Comments

"Wild and free". "You & me". "Two of a kind". Are these phrases belonging to a card that could be for love? But we are only in the middle of January and Valentine's Day is a few weeks away. Should I possibly start blogging about romantic cards so soon before the V-Day rush? Nah, but maybe just for today though.

The butterfly panel is popped up with adhesive foam and looks great over the dark brown ribbon. The blue and antiqued ivory background paper looks like a field of fluttering butterflies.

It was fun to make and turned into such a lovely card. Nice to look at something that isn't reminiscent of New England wintertime.

Different Card, Different Day 1/7/18 January 07 2018, 0 Comments

A golden butterfly with turquoise blue wings sits perfectly against the white embossed background. When the brown distress ink was applied to the edges, the embossed images popped up off the page.

Two purple brads sit on either side of the "Friend" sentiment. A dark blue ribbon bands across the page and has a blue and silver paisley type design above. A golden acetate doily backs the white embossed panel. I cut the doily and used all that I could, which allowed for it to appear on both sides.

Inside, a hanging blue and silver similar design to the card's front.

Different Card, Different Day 12/28/17 December 28 2017, 0 Comments

Wishes come true. Some people look at a dandelion as a weed. Others look at them as "wishes". When I saw the pink moon paper and how it was separated into four squares with half rounded edges, I immediately loved the window panel look it turned into. And that moon is HUGE!

I glittered the dandelions with glue and fine glitter by Heartfelt Creations. This gave them that ultra blue glow.

Each of the flowers have that three dimensional look as a result of adding that fine glitter. Heartfelt Creations also makes the glue I used. I especially like the fine tip that it comes with.

Different Card, Different Day 12/27/17 December 27 2017, 0 Comments

This blue and yellow square "Hello" butterfly card shimmers with swirls of detail. I just love how the inside wings of the butterfly melt together like stained glass. Blue and yellow are two great colors to put together.

When opened, it looks like this:

Bet that you didn't see that coming, right? The butterfly is also part of the blue background paper.

Standing on it's own this is a beautiful card to display. When you are looking at it head on, the butterfly lines up with the cutout section. This picture is from up above and was meant to show you the detail of the card folds.

Your personal message can be written on the backside or the yellow portion that folds into the card, before it is open.

Different Card, Different Day 12-04-17 December 04 2017, 0 Comments

Snowflakes...are Winter's butterflies. This beautiful card has so much sparkle in the details. Like these little raised butterfly's below.

Each of the dots are made using Stickles. This process takes time to dot each one and wait for a few hours while they dry but the ending result makes it worth it.

"Welcome" I say to my new neighbors. I haven't had the opportunity to meet them yet but I left this card with some chocolate at their front door (in a safe location).  The card was a blast to design and I love how it came out.
