Cards

Different Card, Different Day 1/21/18 January 21 2018, 0 Comments

This ocean themed birthday card was made for a very good friend of mine. And yes, I do think there is only one like her.  hahaha.  I love making these types of cards for people and tend to play with them a bunch before I give them away. If you've never shaken a shaker card, you don't know what you're missing out on!

Look at all those tiny beads and sequins behind the clear vinyl sheet. It's almost like you are looking into a fishbowl.  They are secure in there and will not spill out.

The papers come from Heartfelt Creations which is one of my favorite companies because of their quality made materials. I've taken classes from these guys over the past couple years during a scrapbook expo and highly recommend if you get the chance to do the same. I learned how to make three dimensional flowers like the blue one above with its green leaves. I can now use that knowledge for other images. I plan to make many more of these types of cards using their papers. Wait 'till you see some of the sea creatures, including fish that are popped up.

Additionally, I also made her a bracelet with her picture of Marilyn Manson kissing her. I knew it was a favorite pic of hers and I wanted to make something special out of a copy of it. I used my Craft Fantastic supplies to make the pendant.

Different Card, Different Day 1/4/18 January 04 2018, 0 Comments

Splish Splash! This is a fun card that is very colorful and has a few different sea critters swimming around. One of my favorites...a turtle. The card was designed with the idea of looking into a window under the sea. The actual ocean panel is partially black velvet and taken from one of my nieces and nephews coloring books. I did color it with them one day during a visit.

The hibiscus flowers and blue shell are puff layer stickers. (Not the same kinda puff stickers I had as a kid...They've come a looooooong way and are so incredibly dimensional).

Different Card, Different Day 1/2/18 January 02 2018, 0 Comments

A big red fish swimming in the swirly blue waves is sending a "get well" wish.  His fins and the sentiment are metallic gold. Whales swim around the white background, making up the edges of this card. You almost wonder if he's going to chomp onto that hanging hook.

Different Card, Different Day 1/1/18 January 01 2018, 0 Comments

As we ring in the New Year, I'll remind everyone that "You are fintastic" with this adorable fishy shaker card. The blue, green and clear beads are trapped in the circle with the fish behind clear acetate.  Shake the card and the beads move around.

The papers are designed by Heartfelt Creations. I adore this collection by them.

Different Card, Different Day #3 May 03 2017, 0 Comments

These two fish are on the featured daily blog "Different Card, Different Day #3", clearly missing one another. Their little faces happen to look so lovingly sincere, that I had to take a close up of this one for you.

Spectrum Noir alcohol ink pens were used to color the super-fine glitter paper from Krazy Kreations.
