Different Card, Different Day #38 June 07 2017, 0 Comments

This watercolored whale is happy to wish someone a Happy Birthday. The background papers were chosen because they reminded me of water splashing...like what a whale does in the water. hahaha.

The cupcake has pink flower-like feeling flowers because of a product I glued to the image called Flower Soft.

The edging around the card, whale and "Happy Birthday" was done using alcohol inks and gives them a dimensional look. The candle was made from a small scrap micro fine glitter paper by Krazy Kreations and colored using Spectrum Noir alcohol ink markers. The outline sticker image of the candle is also their design. I liked the idea of taking a flower pot image and turning it into a cupcake.

Different Card, Different Day #17 May 17 2017, 0 Comments

We're still in the Spring season and I felt like sharing this "Happy Spring" card for my daily blog of the "Different Card, Different Day" series.

These Dazzles outline stickers were so much fun to decorate with paper, alcohol inks, Wink of Stella glitter pens and other Dazzles stickers. The butterfly is popped off the page with a foam sticker dot giving it some depth.

These little purple fuzzies were made with Flower Soft.

And here's the inside of the card. This happens to match the front's theme in colors, design and style.

Different Card, Different Day #5 May 05 2017, 0 Comments

"Looking Good" on day #5 of the "Different Card, Different Day" series, where I post a card I've made and write a short blog about it. Doesn't this one give you the warm fuzzies? Kind of like the little peach colored fuzzies on the cat nine tails above? I made those fuzzies using a product called Flower Soft and applying it with a fine tip glue. I learned how to use it from Sarah at Bella Art in Johnston, RI. I've been putting this stuff on ALL of the flower, plant and tree stamps I own. It's pretty fun to use and leaves an eye appealing realistic result.

Thanks for reading my blog. Enjoy your day.
