Different Card, Different Day 1/24/18 January 24 2018, 0 Comments

Hello with a special message of "Thinking Of You" inside. This bright and cheerful card is decorated with the pinkest of holidays in mind, which is right around the corner. The butterfly on scrolled writing has a metallic heart on it's key shaped body.

The metallic copper colored wording matches the "Hello" on the front side of this card. Matching pink and taupe papers and dark red ribbon are also added.

Different Card, Different Day 1/23/18 January 23 2018, 0 Comments

Hello from the heart. This sweet Valentine's Day card is wishing a very heart-filled hello from this little girl in the yellow dress.  She comes from a 1996 Stampin' Up! rubber stamp set and was colored in with my watercolor paints. Very similar to the blog yesterday about the mouse stamp. The popped up envelope with heart is from my new stamp set by Paper Pumpkin in my latest club kit.

The golden "hello" with it's white shadow image behind it comes from The Stamps Of Life by Stephanie Barnard cutting dies. One is cut out from white cardstock and the other a metallic gold paper. She said in her video on her website that this is in her own handwriting. I thought that was pretty cool.

The black stripe with hearts is Washi tape wrapped around to the backside. This prevents the tape from ever peeling up on the sides of the card.

Inside I stamped "Happy Valentine's Day" and backed it on pink and red paper matching papers.

Different Card, Different Day 1/5/18 January 05 2018, 0 Comments

Today's "card" is a set of three, actually. They all are water-colored fruit and say "Hello".  I painted these with my aunt Dotty in mind. I'm going to be sending her a New Year's package soon with her winter card and thought I'd include this set as a gift to her.

Different Card, Different Day 12/27/17 December 27 2017, 0 Comments

This blue and yellow square "Hello" butterfly card shimmers with swirls of detail. I just love how the inside wings of the butterfly melt together like stained glass. Blue and yellow are two great colors to put together.

When opened, it looks like this:

Bet that you didn't see that coming, right? The butterfly is also part of the blue background paper.

Standing on it's own this is a beautiful card to display. When you are looking at it head on, the butterfly lines up with the cutout section. This picture is from up above and was meant to show you the detail of the card folds.

Your personal message can be written on the backside or the yellow portion that folds into the card, before it is open.

Different Card, Different Day 11-29-17 November 29 2017, 0 Comments

Being so close to the end of Autumn I felt the need to design a card exactly like this one. Utilizing beautiful orange, gold and red fall-ish colors.

The black vinyl stickers are called "Dazzles". They are super fun and easy to work with. The little gold butterfly is popped up with a foam adhesive dot. Also, jute twine is tied in a bow on the white gift tag, just below three large diamond tip pointed gems.

Here's a big Foxy hello for you. I think these little guys are adorable and were so much fun coloring in with my alcohol ink pens.

This little blue elephant isn't shy about saying "hello". It looks like he's sprayed blue water all over this happy card and a bright green heart is popping through showing the love.

Different Card, Different Day #50 June 19 2017, 0 Comments

Cards that say "hello" are always a favorite in my mind. They are so universal and can be sent to whoever and whenever. As we are in the middle of summer, I'm always thinking flowers and how they make me so happy. The music sheet notes in the background seem to be playing for these three flowers to grow.

The flower heads are popped up and held into place with light brown brads. The "Hello" sentiment is popped up off the page using a couple of foam adhesive dots.

The light blue border frame is one of my favorite cutting dies to use.

Different Card, Different Day #41 June 10 2017, 0 Comments

Hello with some summery butterflies! The black and white with a subtle colored border and two amazingly beautiful butterflies is stunning. A white ribbon and black sparkly glittered sticker run from top to bottom.

Adding dimension to cards is an added bonus. I found all of the supplies I needed to make this card in my June's monthly card making kit club at Maker's Mart.

Different Card, Different Day #14 May 14 2017, 0 Comments

Hello with love. This elegant white rose card is matched with burgundy papers and sheer ribbon from Maker's Mart.  Tiny round purple Dazzles are lined up in the tips of the white border that I punched using one of those continuous cutting border punches.  If you really want to know where I got this white rose from...I saved it from a frame I bought years ago. It was the framed artwork that has the measurements and company information on it ...now it's been upcycled. I just love it when I can turn something, that might have otherwise been thrown away, into my art creation.
