Different Card, Different Day 1/15/18 January 15 2018, 0 Comments

With Sympathy. These cards are always the hardest to design whether they are personal or for someone else. This one happens to be personal and is going to a dear friend of mine.

If you ever do get a sympathy card from me, please know that I spend a lot of time putting one together. I try and add details that help make the card special.

The center of these flowers are star shaped brads and help hold the layers of petals together.

If you want to find out how this card was made, using which supplies or how I possibly could design a card for you, please contact me.  Leave me a comment too and let me know what you think about today's card of my daily "Different Card, Different Day" blog series.

Thanks for reading my blog. Enjoy your day.

Different Card, Different Day 12/31/17 December 31 2017, 0 Comments

With deepest sympathy this card was sent to a dear friend of mine who lost her mom. It was designed for both of them because of their deep love for their faith. It reminded me of something spiritual and something beautiful and seemed like the perfect one for me to make for her.

The paper was 12"x12" and was just the antique brown color with the drawings. I added blue, yellow, green, peach and red watercoloring to the angels and their bouquets making sure to shade them where needed. Shading is a significant part of making your image look more realistic.

A small dot of red for the lips on each angel and a lot of little dots for the flowers.

I post this one on the last day of the year. Truly as a tribute to the spectacular woman that we lost here on earth.

Different Card, Different Day #52 June 21 2017, 0 Comments

This sympathy card is decorated with blue hand painted flowers and purple metallic dragonflies.

A lot of the smaller flowers are dotted with silver Stickles to give the center's a three dimensional look. Some are even popped up with foam adhesive dots. The blue ribbon matches the blue paper and was placed on the card front to appear as three separate panels against the black polka-dotted paper in the background.

The flowers were colored in using Wink Of Stella pens.

Different Card, Different Day #48 June 17 2017, 0 Comments

Sending Love and Sympathy is never easy. This was my way of saying to one of my best friends that I was thinking of her during this time of her loss.

I absolutely love this message by Sylvana Rossetti and tend to use it when my own words can't quite sum up what I'd like to say.

Different Card, Different Day #18 May 18 2017, 0 Comments

Today's featured card for my daily blog series "Different Card, Different Day" is a pink and green sympathy card with a golden rose and matching butterflies.  There are several layers that were built up to make it thick and foam tape dots were used to pop up the message and one of the large butterfly wings, giving it dimension. Dazzles stickers from Paperwishes.com are placed inside and out.

The inside is also decorated to match the front and has one of my favorite quotes to stamp for sympathy cards.

Different Card, Different Day #9 May 09 2017, 0 Comments

Here's my first sympathy card to show during the "Different Card, Different Day" blog series.  These types of cards are always harder for me to make because they usually come with a personal reason for me to be making them in the first place. But I realize that if and when the time comes, I try my hardest to make it as beautiful and elegant as possible.  This featured card today is so lovely, in my opinion.

I was fortunate enough to recently get these flower and stem/leaf die shapes in a recent Maker's Mart card making kit club I am a member of. They always send many usable supplies and are often complimentary with prior month's kits.

If you want to find out more details on how this card was made, using which supplies or how I possibly could design a card for you, please contact me.  Leave me a comment too and let me know what you think about day #9's card.

Thanks for reading my blog. Enjoy your day.
