Arched Butterfly Flying Pattern - Art Journal Page January 20 2016, 0 Comments
This art journal page is antiqued with an aged look. It's on the other side of my last blogged page "I am Beautiful, Adorable & So Very Sweet". I didn't put any wording onto this page for any message of any kind. Sure you see lots of words in the scroll handwriting stamp that is throughout the background and if your eyes are "eagle-ish" I bet you'll even see the wording in the couple postage themed stamps randomly scattered in. But there is no message to this page. Other than how beautiful an arched butterfly flying pattern can be.
The picture above is held one way in the light and the butterfly stamped appears to be darker in inked color while the square copper stamp is shining. In the picture below, the same butterfly shimmers silver, copper and gold from the metallic ink used. It depends on how the light hits it for it to shine.
The handwriting scrolls thicker in some places and barely visible in others. The use of randomness seems to work better in this type of art creation. The edges and random center spots were distressed using daubers and Ranger distress inks.
In a matching colored marker I signed and dated my page. Before I punched holes in it for the ring binder type journal I plan to make, I took all these photos for this blog. One day, you'll see this again when I post the completed journal. For now, there's my journal page for 1-11-16.
Thanks for reading my blog.
