Putting a smile on someone else's face...is worth smiling about. April 19 2016, 0 Comments

A homemade card can be so rewarding...to make, to give and to receive. Either way you look at it, they are great! I recently wanted to give my grandmother Lucy a card to say I love her and remind her to smile...

and that I think she is beautiful...

just the way she is.

And it did put a smile on her sweet face when I gave it to her.  Which in turn made me smile ear to ear.

Each of the four designs have handpainted papers using Nuance powdered dyes and I chose vibrant colors on various ends of the color charts. There are such things as "z-fold" pre-made cards w/envelopes and they are wonderful to use when wanting to display a card standing up because when opened, the three sides of the card make a "Z" shape, giving it more support to stand.  Maybe when I visit her next I will snap a photo of it opened on display in her home.

I hope every time she looks at it...it makes her smile.
