A little pink and red flower gift box with an elephant tag...That's what we call "adorable" January 12 2017, 0 Comments

This adorable little pink and red gift box has a tiny pink elephant on the tag and was made for my 'lil sister. I had something small I was gifting to her and it needed some sort of package to be presented in. So this is what I made for her.

From above, it looks like a flower, whether it is closed or opened.

I wrote my personal message to her on the white paper that I cut to shape and glued into place. Before closing it up I included the small gift inside. Each of those red panels are also glue into place using a Tombow Dot Adhesive Stamp Runner. They are part of the Spellbinders Hexagon Box Top die-cut set that makes this box and tag. The elephant die-cut is made by PoppyStamps.com.

From the sides the six leaf-shaped pink panels show how they interlock with one-another. Once locked into place, they form a hexagon shape. A spare piece of red and white baker's twine made a perfect tie for the little red tag.

The ear on the elephant is 3-dimensional and is popped off the surface using a foam pop-dot. This die-cut is one of my new favorite ones to use and does come with other cut shapes to further embellish the elephant. Friends of ours are having a little girl and this seems like a very useful image that I can create so many wonderful elephant projects with.

As I make more of these boxes in different colors and using different embellishments for different themes, I'll blog more about them, showing you the endless possibilities of little decorated gift boxes.

Thank you for reading my blog. Enjoy your day.
