Jingle All the Way - A festive card to add to December's daily entry December 10 2016, 0 Comments
"Jingle all the way". For those of you that follow my blog regularly, you will know this is my daily entry for December's making of things festive for the month. If you were paying attention, you'd know that I didn't make an entry yesterday. Truth is...I simply was too busy to create anything. I guess you call that "living life" and I'll just have to post a double entry sometime in the very near future and make up for it.
The label is raised off the surface of the card by using pop-dot double sided foam adhesives. The ones I chose made a space about 1/8" thick. The pearl beaded strip lines both sides of the label giving it some texture, dimension and character.
A shiny silver snowflake embellishment is glued into the upper left corner of the card. There are two others placed on the upperside of the card and hint at it representing the snow that is being dashed through, in a one-horse open sleigh.
The jumbled phrase is a rubber stamp and is applied with black StazOn permanent ink. The music notes are from strips of Washi tape that is stuck onto the blue cardstock. The yellow is stamped with a randomly placed snowflake stamp.
The papers and string of self-adhesive pearls are from Maker's Mart at www.makersmart.com where I signed up for the card and die cut kit every month. I saw a huge sale for my first boxed kit over the Thanksgiving long weekend and couldn't refuse the deal. I'm so glad because I truly love what they gave me to create my own projects with. I'll plan to post everything I make with their supplies they give. For my fellow artists, this might be worth you checking into signing up yourselves. My mother is also a member of Maker's Mart and enjoys making things with their supplies.
Here are some of the other papers and the cards with envelopes. I guess this means I'll be making some more cards soon.
Thanks for reading my blog. Enjoy your day.
